31” is 787.4mm, the Defender has 815mm wheel and tyre assemblies.
That's kind of my main question at the moment - is the bog standard suspension the best option for something which is going to be capable on and off road or is there any real benefit to the air suspension, adaptive dynamics, terrain response, ATPC etc?
I think air suspension is standard but I’d like to see some reviews of this on muddy U.K. farms and woodland trails in basic spec rather than the press ones which travelled round the world with all these options.
