He had a good innings. RIP.

I didn't know he'd fathered 12 kids, the randy rogerer.

Would have been fitting if he'd hung on 'til 17-Sep given his involvement in the 917.

Yeah, I’m not mourning this one. He had an interesting, successful and long life. We should all be so lucky.

Did he really have an umlaut over the E in his surname? Didn't know that.

Anyway - RIP. The impact and improvement he had on the car industry will never, ever be forgotten.

It's not an umlaut, it's a tréma/diaeresis as in Citroën.

Interesting - I wasn't familiar with the distinction. Explains why his name is pronounced Pee-eck!

Must say I’ve never heard someone say his name before, always pronounced it as Peach when reading about him :lol:
