Not at all. He was still farming into his 70s in the mid 90s and was still living in the house attached to the farm until last year.

If you don't need the money and have the space to keep stuff while still having room for the things you need then why would you get rid?

All the tractors were owned from new years either his father or him and in great condition. I guess he just liked his stuff or things he found interesting.

We still can't work out why the fiat was kept, my uncle had and scrapped several minis and mk1/2 escorts, yet the fiat was saved. From a financial point of view that was a pretty poor decision, but it's also far more rare and unusual.

The dodge would have been 20 years old by the time it was retired, I guess things had changed a lot by then and it was past it's useful working life, but it was too good to get rid of.
