Your ml500, has it got Airmatic? If so what button is it on the dash?

Yep, the different ride settings are to the left of the esp button.
Sport and comfort have a light for each. Dynamic is with no lights.
Then there is a hill descent button to the upper left of the hazard warning switch, an off road throttle/traction button to the right and an off-road height further to the right again.
I’m not sure if non sports have anything different.

Mine is exactly as this pic above.
The sirmatic should work smoothly, front goes down first, then the back. On the road the struts should react instantly so if you hit sport you should feel an instant difference. It’s a lovely system.

What’s the extra dials in that picture mean? I’ve tried looking around on google but no clear information. Does the suspension lower when in Sport like my Q7 does?

I believe that is a quite rare off road pack equipped W164. So a lockable rear diff and Centre, so it doesn’t rely on the traction control which is good. Plus a proper low range box and diff covers. It’s a nice extra imo.

When mine is in off road mode it’s too firm and just rocks from wheel to wheel, which is pretty rubbish.

Thanks. It appears I’ve bought something entirely different instead
