Really like little pick ups.
There's a really nice looking mk1 VW Caddy sitting in a locked yard just up the road from me, I should put a note on the gate to see if their interested in selling.

Even ignoring the looks, didn't every Murano have a terrible CVT gearbox?NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2019 11:03 pm They look like a shoe. You want a Nissan Murano instead.

Re: CTIIRWOIWAHO
Ever since I drove a V8 one around the SW US many moons ago I have had an unhealthy want for one of these.
I don't like SUVs, don't want a silly V8 and would never sink my money into one, but still... Would be a fairly monumental "why you shouldn't meet your heroes moment" I suspect - it is the memory of the trip more than anything that I misty-eyed about. The rest of the trip was completed in a blobby Ford Taurus V6 estate. I have no desire at all for that car.

Ideally, I’d like an XJ Cherokee with the 4.7 V8 from the Grand Cherokee, but that would be silly.DeskJockey wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2019 12:28 pm Ever since I drove a V8 one around the SW US many moons ago I have had an unhealthy want for one of these.

That would be silly. But, that's the point of the thread, isn't it?

I also get occasional urges to see what MG ZSs are doing. Apparently people are expecting £3k for cleanish ones.
I prefer the earlier ones though, the later ones look rank.
Reviewed very well at the time as I recall, dynamically at least.

I still lust after a GL420, 2007 or so. It would be a pain to park though but I think I’ll talk myself into one for the next family bus.

Colleague had a 2.5 ZS180.
Made a good noise and yes - handling very tidy. They are set up pretty stiff.

Ah, so you did pay for those premium videos in the end?
Mate of mine (long time ago forum member Blain) test drove one, and as I recall had some trouble deciding between a ZS180 and a Clio 182 in terms of driving. Brakes were noted as being especially good on the ZS.

I still wince at the thought of Harry breaking that 200 BRM, cracking little cars

I keep looking at MX5s too.
