Planned obsolescence

We out a new kitchen in circa 7 years ago and at the hottest part of the year both the fridge and freezer- separate units start playing up within days of each other
It’s almost like they planned it that way

Yeah, but don’t Scottish fridges normally have to heat food up to chilled temperature?

In summer, maybe. In winter you should probably take one of these.
