A very nice 31c in Scumderland at the minute. Seeing some sights I can't unsee sadly. Heading home for some eyebleach
ETA the dust pedant has been satisfied

Warm on the short walk to the station. App says 21C but I think it’s warmer. Direct sun is really strong even at 7.20am.

I'm not even going to try and work from my home office today - it's just gonna be too hot in there. Currently laid out in bed with the aircon near my feet until the sun comes round, at which point I'll probably swap to the lounge and finish my day.

Bet you're missing having an air-conditioned office to go to, Rev

Yeah, car said 26deg tomorrow (edit - this morning - too warm), and the house was unusually warm this morning.
Looking forward to the rest of the day in this roof-space office with no air-conditioning.
I did try to suggest that we go out and buy a big gas BBQ and a planche and just cook and eat all day out in the sun, but apparently the CEO might not like that.

It's supposed to be warmer today but there's more cloud cover and much more of a breeze.
Yesterday was a killer. You know it's bad when you walk across the car park in the sun thinking it's fairly toasty then you open the doors and it's like stepping in a car that's been in the sun all day.
I was literally dripping in sweat for 8 hours. Yesterday's boxers have a nice dried salt tide mark on them. Everyone's running the machines slower because god forbid you have a jam and have to climb in and start pulling things about.
I know other places and hot workers work in far worse conditions, but they usually have some sort of provision for airflow. Our place just has such poor ventilation the heat just builds and builds in the middle. Hoping with a bit less direct sun and a bit more of a breeze it won't be quite so horrendous when I go in at 2pm

I'm currently contemplating buying an air-conditioned office, so that I have somewhere comfortable to work on the Porker

I might pop down to the comms room for a quick doze later. Car reckons it's 31.5 deg outside.
Feels like it.
