I'm disappointed at the lack of white lines on the table.
How about not having a sig at all?

I know that the women is a complete loon, but I was discussing this when the story about the stories about parties first came out 6 months ago. These people have access to a lot more insights that we do and yet didn’t feel the need to take anywhere near the precautions they were advising the rest of us to do.

Yeah, and Boris eventually got COVID (as did plenty of the No10 staff and various other political wonks in that sphere) and got it bad.

Don't mistake staggering, breathtaking arrogance and a belief that you're above the law for some kind of super secret insight into how COVID wasn't all that.

He had it early on in the pandemic actually, April 2020, long before he broke any restrictions so actually had knowledge of how bad the illnness was when he broke the lockdown rules.

They were all sat shoulder to shoulder in the hoc after telling us it was deadly lethal 😂

One day everyone will wake up.

No.10 had strict testing regs in place so all of those people would have considered it a safe zone in the knowledge they were all Covid free. It’s really not that difficult to understand.

She's really gone down the rabbit hole hasn't she

The simple answer is that they're entitled morons who think consequences are for other people.

Isn’t that most Politicians.

After this latest twist, his time really is up. But now’s not the time for knee jerk resignations, squabbling and power voids There needs to be a proper process to find his replacement as Tory Leader and then a GE to decide if the people still want this Government

In what way would it be a knee jerk? If he resigned now it would be after being worn down through his lies, not a reaction to one event.

By knee jerk, I mean announcing his resignation now in reaction to this latest thing without a suitable replacement agreed.

For me, that's the sad simple truth of it and a lot of things need to change.

Exactly. Getting anything done in the political arena is a Sisyphean task, so the idea of an overarching conspiracy is absolute baloney. They couldn't even organise a piss-up in No.10 without getting caught. It's practically impossible to get any kind of change achieved in any area of politics because of the sheer amount of differing and entrenched opinions involved. That's why we see so little change. Then you get people like Boris who act like mavericks and spout nonsense or have parties and break the rules, because they think they're above it. Some people (Katie and Broccers) give the government wayyy too much credit by suggesting they're organised enough to plot a big Covid scheme to fool us. To think that Boris, of all people, would be able to orchestrate part of an international scam to pull the wool over our eyes is utterly ludicrous and naive. I mean, he's not even got the nous to stop people from filming him at a secret party or keep track of how many children he's got, so there ZERO chance of him creating a dastardly scheme to fool 60 million people and get away with it

And Katie is using all of the hallmark fear mongering tactics that get people's insecurities about control and power, it's absolute fucking textbook bullshit. I could literally write a 5k long form article on the psychological impact of the nonsense she spouts.
