No government ministers available to do the press this morning, just labour MPs and tory backbenchers sticking the knife in. I would love to know who leaked that video clip of the practice press briefing.

As per usual, the incomptence and cynicism of the cover-up is even worse than the thing itself.

Sajid was due this morning on a number of outlets.

I suspect he excused himself under the 'no way am I gonna be the fall guy for that bollox' mantra. Can't blame him really.

Yeah, it's definitely not because he was going to say something which Boris will contradict at his press conference later - they have shown previously they don't care about that. Avoiding answering questions about the No10 party is the most obvious explanation.

PMQ's is going to be worth a watch today!
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

Is it? If we had a decent opposition maybe, but the flaccid Starmer just doesn't have it in him. Even if/when he is angry about something it comes across as completely insincere.

I didn't realise the laughing press officer was the same person responsible for this car crash.

An absolute unit

I see they've now thrown her under the bus in the hope that everyone will be happy and just move on.

Although why have they asked her to go exactly when they did nothing wrong and if they did do something, they did it within the rules?
Cheers,

Mike.

I've got a hardware move next week in That London. Can't very well do that remotely...

I keep hearing it referred to as 'guidance' as opposed to 'rules' which is s bit annoying.

You can't 'enforce' people work from home when there's absolutely no way that anyone could prove if you actually can do your work from home. It's only ever been guidance, end of story.

Yarp, seems that way. In the office on Monday then (which given the shit we're doing at the moment, is necessary).

Kuenssberg was clearly expecting more strict lockdown than Boris actually announced. He must have realised he couldn’t ban Christmas parties after all the fuss.

We're having a virtual Christmas party today. Oh joy.

They've given us pre-loaded cash cards so that we can order our own food, so at least I can have something edible for a change.

I have many questions.

So will you all be on camera eating whatever food you've chosen, while wearing party hats and Christmas jumpers etc? Will anyone be in an actual pub/restaurant? Is it mandatory? Where can you use the cash cards? What have you ordered? Will the virtual party video coverage extend to people getting drunk after the meal? Will it be utterly cringeworthy like many of these virtual team building/forced social gathering things have been?
Cheers,

Mike.

Indeed - I think I’d have ‘broadband issues’ that day
