That was the David Leslie Trophy race (our special one each year) and I'd only missed the second step by 0.04s after a drag up the final straight, but the weekend also saw another two podiums, a new PB, the restoration of my 2nd place in the championship and the first time I've ever won actual prize money.
Just think what might have been possible if Scott hadn't been busy sunning himself

The less good bit comes 10 seconds later when you realise you're standing there with an open, half-full bottle of cheap fizz that you can't drink because you've still got to tow the trailer home!

Might I suggest you had such a good result because Scott was away sunning himself?
Congrats!

With the prize money you can buy a full bottle of cheap fizz.

He's up to his eyes with life stuff - taken over the family business, about to start building his own house etc. Hopefully planning to be back next year.
