VERY dangerous rear wheel drive, you see

I was driving round a big-ish roundabout, it had just started to rain quite a lot, as I came off the roundabout the back end stepped out, and then the car was in a ditch

No heroic stories really. I wasn’t even going fast enough to set the airbags off

It was a lease car, midway through the lease, so the finances of the story are kind of interesting, but I’ll wait about another week before I tell those...

Oof. I had a similar thing in the BMW when I came back from Scarborough the first time in it after seeing my brother, rainy, big roundabout exit, had a bit of weight transfer, whoopsy. Thankfully it was empty (it was something like 2am) and the traction control and stability control sorted the worst of it out and I missed anything solid.

Yeah. I’ve had my eye on the salvage auctions to see if my car pops up. The auction runs out before I’m 100% finished with the finances, so this will have to be a twaty two part story rather than me being able to wait until it’s all finished before I post

Does your settlement figure depend on what they get for it as salvage ?

Glad you're ok first and foremost, but also then that the financial part doesn't prolong it and you get it resolved ASAP.
