And I want to raise a complaint that this is a stoopid system. So the number doesn’t represent increasing stiffness, it represents increasing softness. Stoopidz.

Yes, but you tighten the damping from 30 down to 0.

Clockwise to go stiffer is the usual and logical way, seems someone at BC just has their numbering system backwards

Weird problem tonight. MrsREV went out to her car and noticed that all the LCD screens were lit up on my car (odometer/trip/speed/clock).

They normally shut off when you lock the doors. I hadn’t been out in the car at all today but I was measuring the ride height earlier today and it definitely wasn’t lit up then (I didn’t unlock the car then).

I checked that it was locked (it was), so unlocked it and locked it again and they remained lit up. So I tried to start it to if that would reset it, but the battery had been drained too low to start it, so I’ve taken the battery off and put it on a deep charge.

Apparently, and somewhat ironically, it’s something they do when the battery voltage drops too low. I think only doing short journeys the last couple of days has taken its toll.

Also check the little flap on the ignition barrel isn't sticking (if it has one) as that can cause that to happen.

When I wasn't using it regularly I'd have to use the trickle charger for the same reason. They like a tiptop battery.

I've never had the problem with the dash lights, but that said, I keep the car on a charger all the time. Just a cheapie optimate copy from Aldi or Lidl. Works great.

Battery back on and all working fine.

The rest of the day will be spent swearing at my ball joint splitter.

New track rods fitted and its made a huge improvement. It always felt OK when being driven “normally” but over 80mph or when giving it the beans through the twisties you’d start to get a bit of slop and kickback. On the stands there was only the vaguest hint of any play, but it’s now rock stable and feels grippier at the front now. Pleased with that, and I only hit my hand with a lump hammer once. The only downside is that if got my ball joint splitter (pickle fork type) stuck on one of the old ball joints. It’s about 25 years since I last used it, so I’ll just stick it back in the drawer for now

I’d be interested to know what you go for and if it’ll work through the 12v socket with the panel left in the windscreen. The Mustang doesn’t get used every day and over the winter it will go out even less, something convenient like a solar charger I can leave in the window would be great!
