They both love it, although my 14 year old doesn't fit in the back. He can bring his head or his legs, but not both

The bloke told me they're shifting 100 cars a week.Nathan wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 9:32 pmThey take the photos in the auction yard and list them on eBay hours after the physical auction has ended, let alone receive delivery of them / test drive / check paper work.integrale_evo wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 9:16 pm The dealer is obviously rolling in cash and couldn't be bothered spending 15mins looking through the paperwork and writing a decent ad with a couple of decent photos and probably making a few more grand off it.
Looks a very good buy for a boob (that is now an official forum unit of measurement isn't it? )

Re: New Car
Seems like a proper bargain. Polish it up a bit, use it for 12 months and you could have some free/profitable motoring.

Re: New Car
No idea, never got a name. Seemed like a nice chap, whoever he was. I know there’s talk on the internet about their alleged bidding practices, but they are what they are and I’ve had a decent experience with them.

Re: New Car
To be fair, their eBay listing did seem refreshingly honest and open. If I was in a position to buy I probably would have stuck a bid in too.
Cheers, Harry
Re: New Car
That was years ago.
To be fair it would be impossible to shill that many cars and as long as they make at least 10% on what they shift they're making bundles

Re: New Car
Fucking hell Dave, that’s indeed a steal. Well done for taking a punt!NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 7:20 pm In the bundle was a £9k invoice for the engine rebuild at Hartech, coilovers and suspension refresh (droplinks, coffin arms, bushes etc) at Autofarm all done in 2016 about 20k miles ago (there must be about 8 pages describing all the work done). Sports exhaust (non switchable) or standard exhaust with bypass mod and different tips.
At £8k, it was an absolute fucking steal.
Start a thread at 911uk, Baz from Hartech regularly posts there. I bet all other 911ukers would be well jealous after you’ve posted the full specs.
What year is the car? If it’s early 97/98/99 then put the amber lights back on; ambers really suit the non-aero 996 with its unfussy, clean shape.
This welcome video is a good watch.

Where's Robbie when you need him?NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 7:20 pmHaving said that, the cracking of the leather isn’t as bad as it looked, I think it might clean up not too bad.
Awesome work Dave, very pleased for you
The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on

Really chuffed for youNotoriousREV wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 7:20 pmI absolutely love it. I’ve haven’t felt like this about a car in years. Possibly ever.
Keep us all up to date with the progress ! What are your thoughts so far on the 911 driving experience ? They're a bit different to anything else.

Re: New Car
Also - in all seriousness - whatever happens with the car long term can I have first dibs on the engine ? AFAIK mine has not been rebuilt and it would be nice to have a known good spare.
Re: New Car
That's a good point - you can usually pick up the ambers pretty cheaply and they work better on a silver car than the clear lights, IMO. And it'll save you having to polish the ones on the car.
I think a 1999 C4 would have had clears from the factory though, and if it has Litronics then the cost of replacing them would be somewhat higher.
