Measuring PCD

I’ve got a set of wheels I’m going to sell (a cheap set of scabby split rims I bought for the Stagea so I could get the standard wheels refurbished) but they’ve got 2 sets of holes and I don’t know what the PCD of the second set of holes is as the wheels are stamped with that detail on them.

I’ve tried measuring with a tape measure, but sort of guessing where the centre of the centre bore to the sort-of centre of the bolt hole seems a bit sketchy. Is there a proper way to measure this?

there must be some maths around measuring the distance between each bolt hole, averaging the measurements, then using that to find the diameter of the circle.

Ah, that helped. It looks as though they're Jap 5 stud (Toyota/Nissan etc.) which is 5x114.3mm (I knew that, obviously) and the other set appear to be 5x120mm (so BMW fitment?).

Cheers Jon.
