Sale or sale and purchase and cash or mortgage? Few factors but assuming sale & purchase and mortgage and a firm within the M25 - £1500ish IIRC
Bear in mind they need to be on your lenders approved list or you’ll have to pay for them to have separate representation. There’s a conveyancing quality assurance scheme - if they’re on that most high street banks will have them as approved.
ETA just checked : £1560 inc VAT for our last one in December ‘17.

I was £1000 buying my house 3 years ago and £1200 selling earlier this year. Big firm in Cambridge then a bigger firm in London.
I reckon they jacked up the rate because I was so annoying with whiny emails the second time round.

No reason to pay a London firm £1500 when the going rate from a conveyancing specialist is more like £750+VAT, or often less.
It’s not particularly profitable so I’m not keen on taking it on, but I know plenty of people I can recommend. Email or message me, Scott.

I used “Premier Property Lawyers” twice recently and both of them ended up with me raising a formal complaint. So don’t use them.
(they have some tie-in with Purple Bricks which made them convenient)
(Purple Bricks were fine, btw)
