I suppose if you buy the 118i you could tell people it’s got the same engine as the i8.

I’m actually a bit surprised there’s no hybrid versions since they have to adhere to strict co2 average emissions for 2021 or pay billions in fines and those models will be on sale for the next 4 years until the LCI.

Wonder what the new 2 series will be?

Some cunt at my flat bought one and parks it right by the door so I have to see it’s gaping face every time I go home.
I saw a new 7 series last week and that was also horrific. I forgot that it also had the gape treatment so I had an actual wtf brain freeze as it went past.

That’s an awful change, I can’t see one improvement

Nathan is correct, BMW have basically copied the others. The looks on the previous gen is debatable but at least it had it's own unique shape that you could pick out, not anymore.

The current crop of BMWs do really look like a mash up of Kia and Mercedes. I thought the new 3 series was a Kia when I first saw it.

Its going wrong wheel drive at some point too isn't it?

To be honest though the 1 series has always had challenging styling overall - the face got better but it has always looked like a hunchback from the B pillar back. That's not to say this one hasn't been thrashed with the ugly stick for even longer.
