MOT every six months ?

Browsing AutoTrader as you do, and looking up MOT histories, I've come across a car that has had an MOT every six months. Without fail May & November. No fails and only a couple of advisories about tyres.
Do taxi licences or something need renewing every six months ? Or is there something very dubious going on here ?

Fair enough. I'd never come across that before.
The mileage isn't crazy though. I guess it's probably been "corrected" every six months just before the MOT....

There's that. Also some of the chauffeured private hire S Class / 7 Series are ok and don't tend to travel far.
Some private individuals register as private hire to avoid the congestion charge. Not sure it happens so much anymore

Busted. It is indeed a 7 Series.
So does that mean it’s likely been doing airport runs rather than constant short hops in the city ? I’m sorely tempted to go and have a look at it.

It could be that and clocked.
But it could also be sitting outside Harrods all day doing 1.5 mile back to Chelsea.
