My new favourite conspiracy theory
Engines don’t run on fuel, they run on compressed air.

Re: My new favourite conspiracy theory
There really are some retards about aren't there?
People trying to appear intellectual with zero basic knowledge of how volume works.
Maybe an f1 car does run on compressed air, but why do they have flames out of the exhaust? And if you think there's no room for fuel, where the hell is the space for the compressed air?
I have a compressor with a 50l air tank in my shed. It's a big heavy lump of steel, and compressed to 10bar it'll run a tiny air grinder for about 20 seconds before running out of puff

Nope. Nope nope nope. I won't be clicking on that link. I get more than my fair share of teeth-grinding stupidity just going about my day to day here.
Also conspiracy theorists run on attention so I won't even be adding a view to the total

Re: My new favourite conspiracy theory
The same tards call engines on planes 'air fans', and suggest that there is no way wings could support the volume or weight of fuel that manufacturers claim.
I think these people should be sterilised.
All because modern society has sought to conflate 'balance' with 'allowing lies to pass as valid beliefs.'

The part I've yet to have explained to me is why they want their version of events to be the correct one. What difference does it make if the earth is flat or round? I don't get it.
Re: My new favourite conspiracy theory
PV=mRT duh, more pressures means more heat.
Compressed air will get hot enough to burn all the Nitrogen and so technikally speaking they run on Nitrous.
Re: My new favourite conspiracy theory
...............except compressed air is freezing fucking cold.
Re: My new favourite conspiracy theory
Nope. A can that is having compressed air expelled from it will feel cold, but compressed air itself isn't cold

Re: My new favourite conspiracy theory
Yes, but I imagine the propulsion requirement from said compressed air will involve it being expelled at some point. This really is a day for questioning fundamentals, isn't it
Re: My new favourite conspiracy theory
Expelled through some sort of reciprocating piston arrangement or turbine perhaps? Is the stuff on the working side of that mechanism hot or cold?
Re: My new favourite conspiracy theory
Oh, and intercoolers.
Re: My new favourite conspiracy theory
I might need a bit less internet for the rest of the day
Re: My new favourite conspiracy theory
You can get engines that run on compressed air, there are compressor pumps you can run off the exhaust or crankshaft .
An absolute unit
Re: My new favourite conspiracy theory
A sad indictment of modern society/the youtube phenomenon, I see it with the kids, watching utter fucktards thinking it's fact as they have 1m subs

I think my favourite part is Concorde’s “tiny, tiny wings”

People believing clearly insane stuff because a lot of other people believe the same insane stuff is hardly a new phenomenon.

I was in/under G-BOAF last month. The only tiny thing is the interior.

I'm pretty sure I read something about Koenigsegg having some gizmo that allowed the engine to act as an air pump, off throttle. It fills a tank and is available as boost for later.
Not quite what the nutter in the OP is talking about mind you
The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on
