Are you pregnant?

Post by Simon »

Or are we the last? 8-)

Yes, 12 weeks now. Due in early October. Just did the first scan today and all looking good. Just one luckily as Grandad/Great-Aunt were twins on my side and I'd forgotten about that until last weekend when Dad reminded me.

Thanks everyone. O/H has had a very sickly and tiring first semester. Have told her to take it slower at work and reduce her hours, which is happening.

'Heard' the heartbeat today which was incredible, and something I didn't think they did on the 12 week scan. Very emotional! But they sent us back to the waiting room for 15 minutes before doing another scan as he/she was sitting bolt upright which was no good for their measurements. Got a little wave too! Awww, so many feels.

And that's just the beginning! You'll find yourself getting all mushy about things you'd barely have noticed before. They're canny like that.

As above, you may also find lots of films and shows you now cannot watch as you get a bit red in the face

Congratulations!!

20 week scan yesterday. 'Reveal' party this evening. It's a boy! Whoop. Ridiculously large purchases of eBay Scalextric will have proved useful then.

The O/H was so convinced it'd be a girl too. Our 'girl' name list was long, our boy name list had about 2 on it. :D

Congrats Simon! The scans are amazing, mind-blowing things.

Its weird how the evo forum has been a constant in my life for fecking ages. I didn't have any children when I first posted on the old forum. This week I'm mainly planning to see if I can get my boy in to a screening of John Wick 3 (he's 14 soon but nearly as tall as me so I think its worth a shot).
Cheers,

Mike.

About £12 for 4 or 5 shots here actually. Flipping expensive.
