I'm trying to broaden my source of news and political commentary, and that includes reading newspaper articles from across the political spectrum and even watching Jones on YouTube.

When he's interviewing someone I have to say he's not bad, bordering on actually watchable. It's just when he's invited as a talking head onto something like TW or QT that he draws the ire. He simply needs to mature as a commentator and stop the finger pointing at every conceivable opportunity.

Imagine my shock when I found out that Owen Jones isn’t well liked around here .

I'm only aware of Owen Jones from his being called out numerous times by David Allen Green for his inconsistencies. He seems whiney and arrogant. I have no desire to use iPlayer to prove this to be true.

Mind, I have a natural reflex to turn it over as soon as the QT music starts rolling. Some sort of inbuilt preservation of the TV thing, before I get chance to throw the remote through it, or it out of the window

Oh aye I know, I see him arguing with other Guardian columnists on Twitter .

I don't listen to everything he says, he's too much of a momentum tubthumper for that but he noises up the right people a lot of the time.

Comparing him to Hopkins is a bit strong.

Glad to see he has no fans.
