Not the case; I’d keep the MX5 if I had more space but with a second teenage child shortly having a car, and before we do anything to make the drive more useful (pending the extension) I have to be realistic and it’s got to be one in, one out.

What about a Range Rover Sport? Andrew Frankel reckons with its short overhangs and the kit in the Gen 1, it’s far more capable than a Defender.
