On the recent RoadTrip series it was "Pulling the other person's shorts and Underwear down in public".

You have to remind yourself he's 41 and married with 3 kids.
If he keeps on like that he'll do it to someone who won't just take it, they'll just turn around and smack him straight in the grid. Maybe he needs that.

I’m glad it’s not just me who felt like that, I wondered if I was being over-sensitive. The two of them ganging up on Chris to take all the stuff out of his car while Flintoff picked him up was the bit that really felt uncomfortable to me.

The two thick kids are bullying the smart kid?

Fundamentally, the BBC is now making a lads’ show which features cars, rather than a car magazine programme with some banter in it. Stig being shunted to online is solid evidence for this, but you can feel it in the tone of the whole programme. They are trying to recreate Grand Tour.

I’ll wager he still gives “Fresh Trim Slaps” and “New Shoe Stomps” :)

I’m going to be cynical and say that, given CH rarely posts about the editorial direction of the show, they asked him to say that.

No doubt I’m sure Beany...

This other side should be shown though - where he gives as good as he gets.

It was uncomfortable to watch with my 12 year old who’ll more than likely end up as the Harris character, rather than the Flintoff character in similar circumstances.

“It’s just telly” - see, it’s all scripted. The editors who thought it’s a good idea should be the ones getting blamed...

If not scripted, edited to show things how they want them to be shown.

Just got a twitter reply from CH. I think this counts as fame.

A very odd conversion. They claimed it had 350bhp, it didn’t, the 1UZ-FE had 260bhp, and why not just throw a Jag 4.0 V8 in there instead of the Lexus one?

I still think it’s a shame that it’s turned into a laddish banter entertainment show with cars as opposed to a car show with occasionally banter however on the whole I have found it consistently entertaining as Sunday night viewing whereas before both TG and TGT were hit and miss. You’d get a good episode or crap one. I wish they would add more proper reviews on YouTube though.

Yep, there's a lot of explanation missing in this series, like not showing us the workings of the electric cars...but that's not banterful is it
