Its Harry's turn to take out the Ferrari 296 GTB. Yip, its that one with the terrible colour scheme.

For the interior shots, try not to get fixated on the Italian-tricolour selector - once you do, its tackiness can't be unseen.

Cheers,

Mike.

I still don't like that colour scheme but I like the history of it now that I know the story tbh.

It is the best looking new ferrari for a while imo.

Correct!! I haven't really liked a Frezza since the 458 Speciale but this looks great (not in that colour scheme) it's a lovely shape!

The history of that blue stripe sounded like justification - then Harry put a picture of the original up. Quite different shades of blue and red, and just a subtle very pale blue ring around the grille... nothing like the homage Ferrari claims

I like the looks otherwise despite the rear being very Corvette. The review seemed to be more about enthusiasm than objectively telling us much, though - it felt like it was 5-10 mins shorter than usual.

£40k of which was basically just the stripe, since the carbon parts all seemed to be separate options and not part of the Fiorano pack

I think the car is lovely and didn't know the history of the colour scheme or why they did that so that was really interesting. The money spent on options though

I wish Harry had had one in a sensible colour to show. I don’t care at all about the history of the colours when the end result is so utterly repulsive, especially the wheels which didn’t even look the same shade.

The engine window doesn’t work for me either when there’s nothing under it worth showing, but what else are they going to do? Just leaving it painted carbon or whatever would probably be a bit weird too.

Maybe do like those Peugeot 406 based kit cars and have a pretend engine under it. I doubt many owners will ever open it for a look anyway 🤣
Cheers, Harry
