I'm getting really into these auctions - there was a motorbike one recently where I saw about 500 bikes go under the hammer! - but this one is particularly interesting because the estimates seem surprisingly low to me.

Yep maybe they’re trying to pull in more bidders as the car auction sector also doesn’t seem as healthy as it used to be. I’d like to rock up to one with a bag full of cash but would be better off doing it online as I usually have no idea what the fuck the auctioneer is saying.

I’m a fan of these. In one of Harry’s recent videos, he described his Elan as ‘fragile’, although he did not elaborate further.

Thank you indeed, that was brilliant! And what fantastic cars they were, I've always had a thing for them. As a 0-60 times memoriser since I could read, the fact that it could still show a pair of heels to pretty much any hot hatch always had me nodding in respect.

I thought so as well until I looked at the specs - 100k miles on a special edition car that is ruinous to run IF you can find the parts. Then it seemed expensive
