Where are people getting the "cover for by peeps" type news? I have no idea what kind of man Salmond is but I know the job the media are attempting on Corbyn so am dubious about most "I heard that......" now.

Perhaps he should take a leaf out of Westminster's book, launch an inquiry then lose the results.

I would take Corbyn over most and I am not and never have been a Labour voter. I also disagree he has come across as a twat and I would challenge whether you had even heard f him prior to him being nominated for the leadership of his party, I certainly had not.

Umm. He's been extremely short tempered in various interviews even to the extent of rolling his eyes at an interviewer. I understand that politicians are asked a lot of vexatious questions but responding like that shows he's temperamentally unsuited to high office.

Equally, if we judge on actions not words, then there a fair few that would come under the category of "being a twat" in my opinion.

You are correct in that he was unknown to me prior to becoming Labour leader but that's a function of me being too young to have been reading the news at the time of the Brighton Bombing or I'm sure inviting convicted members of the IRA to parliament (Linda Quigley and Gerry MacLochlainn) while Margaret Tebbit was in hospital paralysed in the aftermath would probably have stuck in my mind...
