DISCO(very), and has 7 seats so a bit of a bus.
Mik is pleased. Good choice :geek:

Perhaps TWR should have restomodded those instead of XJS.

So, what's the list of shit that's currently broken on it?
Edit - this would be more appropriate in the fleet thread:

RS01.

Notwithstanding a funding gap of around €235k, I have absolutely no idea what I'd do with one :? - but I love driving it/them on Project Cars 2. Significantly faster than GT3 cars. Lovely things. 8-)

Access looks a bit of an issue with the non-tipping front seats 😂
Next trick: fitting rear seats to a GT3 RS with the cage.

That.

Also - whilst practical sports cars are always better - is it OK?

I remember rear seats could go in a 997.1 GT3 but not a 997.2 GT3 - thinner floor sections or something from memory. :?:

"You can do it" - I know you can fit two adults in the back of an Evora, but "can" and "should" are very different things. That won't be comfortable in the slightest. Noticed they didn't actually get anyone to sit back there

However, aren't there some issues with retrofitting rear seats? With the V5, insurance and MOT's if they're not factory fitted?

I expect if it’s carrying more people than it’s registered / insured for and something happened to one of them you could be in do-do.

5ft 10 in the back of a 992? Sitting sideways across both seats and dragged out by the head maybe? I'd love to see how they did that and how far forward the passenger seat was.

My daughter found the rear seats just bearable, she's 16 and worked out that you could sit slightly at an angle and it was ok for short trips. 8 year old nephew was the perfect size for them.

Mike.

Not necessarily my biggest want but I've noticed a lot of descriptions for ex military trucks say they can be driven on a regular 3.5 tonne car licence. I know you can get things replated to reduce load capacity but surely the dry weight of this truck is rather substantial?

Anyway, was thinking if I fit a crane on that it would be cheaper than a log trailer

I imagine the cat b license thing is either due to its classic nature or possibly a loophole for military vehicles

Edit- found it

Lorries manufactured before 1 January 1960 are included in a list of vehicles, which are exempt from the normal licensing requirements, which apply to large vehicles and can be driven by the holder of a full category B licence. This includes Northern Ireland and Community licence holders. This exemption is prescribed in Regulation 51 (1) (l) of The Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) Regulations 1999 which is: -
"a goods vehicle manufactured before 1st January 1960, used unladen and not drawing a laden trailer”

So you can drive it but you can’t put anything in it

The upcoming BMW m2 CS is said to have 530 PS and a manual gearbox, could be the last desirable BMW for some time.
