I'd try it on and say you have the Google data that "proves" you didn't stop.

What is the address out of interest so I can look it up on Google Maps.
You may want to take a look at this re loading and unloading on double yellows (hence asking for whereabouts to see if there are kerb markings):

Is it a fine rather than a charge? Assuming it is just pay it. Double yellows mean no waiting or parking unless the signage says otherwise which is unlikely given you got a ticket. I am going to guess you were loading a sandwich or pie so probably wouldn't count as a heavy load.

If it's a private parking company then dispute saying you have evidence you didn't stop, but don't tell them exactly what evidence you have.
Chances are they'll drop it to £15 or something.

Just say you didn't park, you just let someone out of the car?

IANAL But I don't see on Google Streetview any signage about the 'contract'' that is broken when parking on the double yellow and what the penalty is. I'd be inclined to head over to Pepipoo and ask their opinion on it all...

Surely you can't just paint some yellow lines on your land and fine anyone that stops for a few second without having some sort of signage. Especially if they've been painted to look like a continuation of the standard public highway lines?

There are rules for it now, any private parking charge with the word fine on it is illegal, any charge for parking has to be well sign posted
As said talk to the experts on peepeepoo

Hateful bunch.
I posted on there because I’d had a parking ticket at the station despite having paid via the app. There were a few other people who’d had tickets at the station, so I thought there may be a glitch with APCOA’s system.
Despite it being blatantly obvious I’d get my ticket rescinded by following the appeal process, they insisted on trying to get me to follow their procedures. Which basically rely on the parking companies making mistakes, not the law (hence Beavis going all the way to the Supreme Court and losing).
Could be a cheap way to get off a ticket, but if you do use their help, park your brain and follow instructions blindly. Don’t bother thinking for yourself

How much is the charge? I'm starting to be of the opinion that life is too short. I'd pay and forget... but then I wouldn't park on double yellows in the first place.

Thanks for comments so far. Charge is £100 or £60 if paid within 14 days. I'm going to dispute it and see what happens as it seems a little unfair.

On the subject of advice in general, mine is to avoid Greggs wherever possible. With the growing obesity and attendant diabetes crisis, anything to do with Greggs will be an offence eventually.
