New arrival expected soon.

Post by PaulJ »

After a lengthy wait to get a go in an Up GTI demonstrator the missus and I tried one today with a view to replacing her Abarth. It felt so 'grown up' compared with the 595 at first, but quickly disarmed her and to cut a short story even shorter, we pick it up on Friday. Result! :D We're getting £7500 for the four and a half year old Abarth, which cost about £20k new. Don't know if that's good or bad but we have no time to shop around as The Up GTI is in big demand and short supply currently.

Nice. Well done on sticking to your original plan. I fancied an Up Gti or i3; bought an M4 Comp! 😁
Cheers,

Nice one, but she'll cause enough mayhem in the Up!

Nice. Smart looking car. 8-)

IIRC from Richard Potter/Jonny Smith’s ‘review’, the stability control can’t be switched off, but otherwise I like it very much.

Nice! Would love one myself, seems like a proper replacement for the LupoGTi. Waiting lists are insanely long.

A few on here follow "Jackal" on Twitter, who despite having access to a few exotics, still raves about the Up GTi.

We had a choice of a white with black roof 5-door or an all white 3-door (which we chose and get tomorrow). No extras as a few things like DAB have recently been incorporated into the standard spec according to the sales chap. If we wanted anything else we would have been faced with lengthy wait. If we'd wanted the 5-door they offered to put a white wrap on the black roof for us, but it was ruled out as I guess the 3-door is a little lighter and stiffer too. Can't wait. :D

Did look to see if BA11 SUP was available but wasn't issued I suppose. :(
