Are mentally and physically exhausting, however when moments like this are captured!  :o

It’s OK though - you can’t even see the guy in 2nd place.

Technically correct. The best kind of correct.

Pah! You might have silly power to try to control, but you've got wet tyres, a roof and can vaguely see where you're going!

I know, being "inside" has its benefits!

Do you have wet weather gear to wear over the race suit?

Ahahahahahahahaha..nah we get *nothing*. Same control tyres as for dry (but hopefully a slightly newer set). Just pump up the pressure, disconnect the ARB and grow a bigger set of balls

My biggest problem in that second race on Sunday was that the anti-fog insert in my visor failed and let water in. Visibility is bad enough at the best of times (open wheelers kick up an awful lot of spray), but trying to look through a 1mm film of water as well was very tricky. Just follow the little red lights and hope for the best!

Is it a Pinlock? Amazed if they ever let water in, just getting them installed takes a big breakfast beforehand.

It's made by Pinlock, but it's a stick-on film with a band of adhesive around the edge. To be fair, it's been great for 2 years, but clearly a little bit of the adhesive has now failed and allowed the gap between the film and the visor to fill with water.

How much speed where you carrying there ??

Hard to tell but the corner doesn't look too bad - I'd guess "significant" speed ???

Probably about 45mph, not quick!
It’s immediately after a 90 degree right hander.

So dumping say 400 bhp into an Elise after a 90 degree corner in the wet makes for some slippy slippy sideways action?

Who knew 😂

Speedy enough though - I presume you styled it out with a massive glug of power ??? ;)

A set of mud and snow tyres worth at least a second through the gravel!

This gives a hint at the conditions for us:

Just for context for those less familiar with Knockhill - we're doing 105-110mph at this point. I can probably just about see the outline of the No.70 car next to me, but the following car will be able to see nothing except two red rainlights in a white-out of spray.
