I'm writing something here for Richard because it's too long to write on Twitter, the rest of you can ignore it.
OK so you need to classify your tasks in two ways:
Is this task Important?
Importance means: does it help you deliver against your strategic or long term goals? If the answer is yes, then it's important, if not, then it isn't.
Is this task time-bound?
This means: Does this task have a specific due date or time? If it does, it is time bound and therefore
urgent.
You then use the matrix to decide where it fits:
You should be spending at least 50% of your time doing stuff in quadrant 2. Don't do anything in quadrant 4. Try and delegate quadrant 3 if you can. any task that takes less than 5 mins, just do.

Found the twitter thread. I have that book, should probably read it. Is Habit 1, ‘read this book’?

I live most of my life in quadrant 2 although a lot of it can shift to quadrant 1 when times get stressful and I need to masturbate about 20 times a day. Yes, being a full time wanker is hard.

hard.
And yet you make it look so easy.

I can’t remember, I mislaid my copy. But this habit is the one I do remember and use a lot. My email inbox is set up with the 4 priorities, for example.
