Make it HTTPS
Re: Make it HTTPS
Same here, I thought the place had shut down over the last week! My God the thought of you lot struggling through life without my guiding, calming influence * shudder *
Re: Make it HTTPS
I'm gonna cross post from the Facebook thread. If you curl http://forums.ov9.co.uk (the trailing / is implied in such a request), it redirects to https://forums.ov9.co.uk. For naked urls without a path that's ok, but really it should be https://forums.ov9.co.uk/. Because you if curl to http://forums.ov9.co.uk/ then it still only goes to https://forums.ov9.co.uk. Essentially, the 301's have been setup wrong.

Indeed, definitely be careful curling one out, especially if you’re at the wrong address.

Re: Make it HTTPS
It's because I've missed a trailer slash from the forwarder on the vhost config. I'd fix it...but...I appear to have locked myself out trying to remote in.Simon wrote: ↑Thu Jan 17, 2019 4:08 am I'm gonna cross post from the Facebook thread. Re: Make it HTTPS
Trailer slashes are usually less of an issue - less chance of getting caught and easier to make a quick getaway.
Re: Make it HTTPS
Who's good idea was this? That trailing slash fucked the lot
Although "TIL" that having "Permanent Redirect" in a vhost config, then pointing it to a broken link, is a really bad idea.
