Plus 20% VAT on the bid, plus 7% buyers premium on the bid, plus 20% VAT on the 7% buyers premium on the bid. And the £80 transfer fee of course.
£5,710 current bid = £7,411.64 to pay.
Fruity.

J77 BSN for sales at Matthewson's £150 start, may have a bid on it myself
@Carlos - don't bid please, I'm not paying more than I could have got it for from the DVLA but I am bidding
I've been outbid. By someone who is clearly willing to pay more for J77BSN than any of these similar plates:
https://dvlaregistrations.dvla.gov.uk/s ... r_priceto=
Eejit. Registration plates do seem to attract stupid bids sometimes. I don't value my registration at more than the £250 I paid for it but I would imagine it's worth a bit more than J77BSN unless there's something else that spells which I'm not seeing.

Or about a quarter of the cars retail price, new (~£120k, IIRC)
Number plate people are
weird.

My boys kick boxing coach has F16HTY on his sprinter van - I'm not a big fan of private plates but it made me smile.

My wife has found a plate she really loves for sale - we're going to buy it (if the seller doesn't find some ridiculous bid elsewhere) but it's an 11 plate and won't go on either the Mini or the Jimny which are both older than 2011. Her car already has a private plate on it and I think she wants to keep that. So we're going to have too many registrations to use.
