The Cats are good too thread
The Cats are good too thread
After being brutally rebuffed from the other pet thread by Scott (and realising I can steal pics from my missus's insta feed ) I'm starting a cat thread.
After losing our old girl last november.
We got this pair from a local rescue, they were pretty shy to start with.
but they're proper wee dicks now.
We're not even entirely sure this one is a cat, we think she might be some sort of ferret, always trying to get into the bins.

Lovely facial colouring on that pair Zed.

Cats are great. Got a brother and sister from the shelter a couple of months ago and the've made themselves entirely at home.
The girl is mad as a box of frogs and will pounce from the 2nd floor landing down to the 1st to surprise her brother (who DGAF as he's about 50% bigger) she also plays fetch better than some dogs.

Ah, excellent!
I'll update this thread later with pics of the missus' late cat Jimmy (who has almost certainly gone for The Long Walk ) and some snaps of his successor, Liz Lemon, a cheeky (but still shy) wee thing from the shelter.
Liz Lemon is still pretty edgy so I might not be seeing her this weekend though, till she settles in a bit more - although I did go see her with the missus at the fosterers home, and she seemed to quite like me there, so that's good

Aye, they're a handsome pair. We never really managed to get a good look at them until they were home so it's quite lucky . They were so shy that they wouldn't come out of their hiding place at the shelter.
It was the SSPCA place at Cardonald and most of the cats seemed pretty stressed tbh.

Nope that's pretty special. Unless y'know you're somewhere near a sacred Indian burial ground or something.

If the sun is especially bright my cat hides her eyes with a paw when she sleeps

Dave where's the photo of (I presume) the same little shit when he was a kitten on your shoulder? It was great

The little shit on my shoulder is the brother of this one. This one is Alia (a girl and she’s tiny), the brother is Nala. The ginger and white one (Hammy) and the dead-looking cat (Mini-Nala) are Alia’s kittens. I’ll dig out that photo and the matching one I did with Mini-Nala. We assumed they were Nala’s offspring too, but genetically the dad has to be ginger to have a ginger kitten apparently.

Please do mate, that photo was tremendous.
Re: The Cats are good too thread
Liz Lemon surveys her surroundings.
"So, you're saying this is all mine?"
"No, none of that is yours"
"Ah, so it's all mine then"

'oh and why are you idiots in my house anyway?'
Re: The Cats are good too thread
She's still a bit edgy (being in a house with a clumsy ASD ten year old, and an energetic five year old probably doesn't help) but yes, she'll get there - all cats do.
Apparently the ten year old and Liz Lemon get on famously, which surprised the missus as he never had much time for Jimmy when he was still around - but then Jimmy was a dribbly, sneezing thing, whereas Liz is....in better shape, shall we say
Ah, poor old Jimmy, I made myself feel sad

Fucking brilliant, thanks for digging that out. It's that precocious kitten 'yeah so I'm the size of a tennis ball - AND?!' look that just kills me
