^ I don't think he did return to it. I'm not sure if (some of) the interior stitching was body colour, and sometimes some of the black inside looked more blackcurrant - or maybe I was just wishing.

Nice to see that LR have still thought about making the Defender a functional working off roader while they're pushing it more and more towards a lifestyle product.

Should've got a 110 though

Could he have just got a normal base 90 with steels, then it wouldn't have the bulkhead?

Wouldn't have been VAT-free either, and nasty company car tax issues if he used it for any personal journeys (such as delivering the XJC) rather than just on the farm.

First new Defender video that I watched. Very impressive car (despite the few flaws as stated). Looks great in green.

People paying £20k over for it though; the market is

I really loved the Elan video.

Made me want something like that. I have to wonder how a current shape MX5 in 184bhp form would compare. Similar 0-60 and 0-100 times to the Evo test of Harry’s Elan but modern crash safety, reliability etc.

Love these sorts of vids as you can see how excited Harry is about it. Slight dad vibe to the “let me show you my way of getting out” segment. Endearing.

There is a bloke in a shed somewhere swapping in Jaguar 3.0 V6s, I think there was a quite complementary evo review not long ago.

That's the Rocketeer conversion to the mk1/mk2 MX5. I've had two mk1s and they're lovely in standard form, but I can't help thinking you'll need to do a lot more mods than just swapping the engine to make it feel right. It also wouldn't end up any cheaper than buying a nearly new mk4 MX5.

Mx5 Rocketeer, see below .They sound lovely. Rather heavier than an Elan though, Caterham is the closest comparison I think.

The Jag green is growing on me, although I still feel it works best in the dark (i.e. when not getting the gold hint). I do like the stance of it though.

Harry seemed like a kid in a sweet shop with Gordon Murray, it's great to see. I wonder if he is one of the hundred...

Nah he sold his Zonda cos of its astronomic value and running costs, imagine this would be several leagues above that...

It’s a Gordon Murray car with only 100 units to be produced. Just buy one, run it 3 years making some YouTube videos and sell it for £4 million 💰

It irks me that the XJ mirror isn't straight. Maybe he needs it like that to get a good view.

Did the XJC sound like it wasn’t running right to anyone else? I meant to go back and find a pre-restoration video of it to compare.
