I've no idea on E34 M5 Touring prices, but that one is in much better condition than the only one I've seen in the metal; it was Techno Violet and in a breakers yard in Essex having been rolled and flattening the roof down to bonnet level at the front.

That seems high to me, given the relatively high mileage and the fact that it isn't the later 6-speed, which is generally considered more desirable.
I owned an E34 M5 Touring for about four months before it was stolen! I paid around £12k for it in Italy and had a fantastic drive back through Austria and France, before it went into service as a daily driver in the UK. I can't think of many other cars that felt rock-solid at >150mph on the autobahn but would also carry a seven foot long trestle table if needed, and not attract a lot of attention (except from some obviously well-informed thieves). The only mild consolation was that I managed to extract a £14k settlement from the insurers, as all the other advertised ones at the time cost more than that. I still miss it.
