The ebay thread
Re: The ebay thread
Not quite sure what i’d do with 3 piles of slightly tacky wheels?
Re: The ebay thread
Probably more for the Fao of sj and possibly harry than anyone else- local engineering college moving so flogging anything that’s not tied down, few interesting bits, portable gantry crane and hydraulic presses

Re: The ebay thread
Shame it’s a 5 hour drive each way ! I could do with a decent workbench and they’ve got quite a few for sale. A gantry for lifting the front of the Disco body. Maybe. And a commercial deep fat fryer. Everyone likes chips

Here's an opportunity to buy a car that'll be driven once, then tucked away, only to be trailered to the dealer for the annual service and otherwise forgotten about.

Why is it that when car manufacturers decide to make bikes, they always make them absolutely awful ? Even worse than a supermarket attempt.nuttinnew wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 6:23 pmhttps://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... 0294699911Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 8:11 pm Enjoying it at the moment yes. Horrific isn’t it - it’s like they do it on purpose. It’s like watching a politician dancing.Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 6:40 pmWhy is it that when car manufacturers decide to make bikes, they always make them absolutely awful ? If only I had paid another 100 grand I could've bought my car with old man chrome trim on the windows, standard wheels and someone else's name on the glovebox!DeskJockey wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 6:36 pmHere's an opportunity to buy a car that'll be driven once, then tucked away, only to be trailered to the dealer for the annual service and otherwise forgotten about.

Re: The ebay thread
I CBA reading the all details - apart from the colour is there anything that genuinely makes it different to a standard one with the same options ticked ? Just the fact you can't drive this one because it's an investment ?
I have a 911, I should be a fanboi, but I just CBA with this "1 of 1" BS. Mine is probably 1 of 1 seeing as I've changed the seats & exhaust. Maybe I should get some "SJ Signature 1 of 1 Special Edition" stickers made and claim it's now worth £100k.

You might as well, you're already owning it in a suitable manner...Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 7:30 pm I have a 911, I should be a fanboi, but I just CBA with this "1 of 1" BS. Re: The ebay thread
I don't know what things were normally available, e.g. was Espresso Natural Leather a standard option?Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 7:30 pm I CBA reading the all details - apart from the colour is there anything that genuinely makes it different to a standard one with the same options ticked ? Any ideas what a standard one specced similarly would be priced at? If you could find one

Re: The ebay thread
I neither know nor care

Re: The ebay thread
You could get all of that as options other than the name on the glovebox and the fact that when it turned up it was a slightly different shade to what was orderednuttinnew wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 8:30 pmI don't know what things were normally available, e.g. was Espresso Natural Leather a standard option?Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 7:30 pm I CBA reading the all details - apart from the colour is there anything that genuinely makes it different to a standard one with the same options ticked ? Same car driven normally is probably 55k - low mileage and PCCBs may add a couple of grand but that one is well over £100k more.
