8.5 dead cops out of 10.
Fuck me - I cried. :|

Really moving with a big plot twist. Mz Bullock was incredible. 9.8 shit I wasn’t ready for that out of 10 for me.
Mrs mik was having an early night the first time I watched this. I suggested she catch up tonight.

Fuck me I shed more tears second time round.

How Bullock didn’t clear up all the awards at the annual comedian-slap I genuinely don’t know. :?

If you haven’t watched this yet - I am not sure how much longer we can still be frends…..

Ok, I’m not going to lie, I had no clue what was going on for a lot of it but my God what a stunning piece of Cinema. You don’t have to watch it as such - you can just look at it - and marvel at the visuals, the music. Stunning! Simply stunning.

Fuck it, I’m going to give it the full 10 out of 10

Really keen to watch this, but I've decided to read the book first (at least the first book).

I read the book only a couple of years ago, it holds up really well. Movie was stunning and can't wait for part 2.

Secrets of the Dumbererdoor better than the 2nd Fantastic Beasts movie but still hasn't captured the magic of the 1st. Some odd choices of leaving random characters in made for quite a long and crowded movie. Had some good sequences though.

Fury

A feelgood film this isn't... Christ it's miserable and bleak, even for a War film. Does a really good job at portraying the realities of Tank Warfare though but I thought the scene with the eggs dinner with the two women was a bit odd and contrived - a bit like the French Plantation Scene in the Redux version of Apocalypse Now

I'll give it 6 Tracer Fire Bullets out of 10

Candyman

Not quite a sequel, not really a reboot, a continuation?

It’s really good either way. Great in it’s own right but also adds history to the series overall.

Your post prompted me to watch the original last night. I haven't seen it in a long time and what a waste of £3.50 that was. It's terrible. Nothing happens for the first 50 mins then not much after that.

The Batman

Self indulgently way too long IMO

I think Robert Pattinson makes a good Batman (nice to see a leading man in an action film with a believable physique and not jacked to the eyeballs on steroids)

It's nicely dark and brooding etc, a couple of dubious bits of CGI though

But just way too long, I was quite bored and willing it to just end so I could go to bed!

The end of the wing suit sequence, am I right?

I didn't feel that it dragged on that long, and quite enjoyed the tone, but it seems a bit devisive.

Overall I liked it.

Been watching all the James Bond movies and just finished the Roger Moore ones. They haven't aged well, apart from Live and let die I thought they were all shite. I'll reserve judgement until I'm through the Brosnan ones but I think Moore might be my least favourite Bond.

It's funny isn't it, how we like different things and for different reasons

I love LALD and Moonraker

The latter probably because i was taken to see it at the cinema when it came out and it blew me away (the centrifuge sequence scared the crap out of me)

And LALD was one of, if not the first thing I recorded on "my" tape when we first got a video recorder and my sister and I watched it to death (even now I still think I know almost all the lines)

These two are very sentimental to me...

That's the thing, I remember watching those movies loads when I was young with my grandad and I expected some warm nostalgia from them. I think now as an adult having read a bunch of the books I just find his portrayal of the character too far from what I like in the books and the movies I like. I'm expecting to feel the same with Brosnan tbh, just because they have similar backgrounds as actors and I remember some pretty cheesy stuff. Kite surfing on a satellite dish

I think you'll find it was the canopy off a rocket powered ice racing thing 😉

I've never read any of the books, probably why I still appreciate the cheesy, camp, tongue in cheek element of those films

Ben an Dicks bogus multiverse meander

Not as good as No Way Home but had a decent amount of fun along with really quite a lot of implied gore. Not quite sure how well youngest Yoblette shall sleep tonight.

Finished my watch through, top 5 movies

1. Casino Royale
2. Goldfinger
3. Skyfall
4. Goldeneye
5. License to Kill

Daniel Craig is my favourite Bond, Roger Moore is my least favourite.
