I did put at least a minutes worth of effort into it, so I'm glad you value it. Maybe print it out and hang it somewhere in your home, so you can read it more easily in future?Marv wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 4:21 pmAmazing review, would read again!!DeskJockey wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 3:37 pm Lego Movie
Probably good, don't know. Kids watched it, I slept through the whole thing.

My experience of the Lego Movie was much the same, it was quite entertaining at first, but turned very long and boring and I fell asleep.

Re: The Movie Thread
Its proper trash, but I’ve quite enjoyed it so far (been watching it on train journeys, 20 mins to go).
Re: The Movie Thread
Yeah, it’s like someone played one of those Tom Clancy video games and thought that’ll make a good film.
Decent cast for a trash movie though.

An absolute unit

or Saw "High Risk" in the 1980's and thought it could do with a re-boot.

Watched this last night based on the recommendation from you two. What a great film. I had literally no idea what to expect from it so I was a bit "wtf" at first but really got into it. Felt a bit Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for grown ups.

I’m a big fan of the slightly “other worldly” style of his films - just on the edge of believeable but massively eccentric (with great soundtracks). the Life Aquatic and Darjeeling Limited have it too (though obviously less extreme).NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2019 11:12 amWatched this last night based on the recommendation from you two. Re: The Movie Thread
Turns out, this is the first Wes Anderson movie I've seen. I'll definitely be seeking out more.

I'm not a big fan of a lot of his stuff, I found them too self consciously quirky but The Life Aquatic, Grand Budapest Hotel and Moonrise Kingdom are all great.

I tried this but didnt really get into it and lost interest within 20 mins or so. Maybe i need to revisit it.Rich B wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2019 11:19 amI’m a big fan of the slightly “other worldly” style of his films - just on the edge of believeable but massively eccentric (with great soundtracks). the Life Aquatic and Darjeeling Limited have it too (though obviously less extreme).NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2019 11:12 amWatched this last night based on the recommendation from you two. i didn’t get on with this one (and I haven’t got round to watching isle of dogs yet) - I think I prefer the “real” stuff. I do need to see them both again though.
