It was a great little trip out! Some cracking looking cars old and new. Had a chat with Harry and Charlie who are as spot on as you'd imagine.

Lots of new and old E types, a brand new XKSS next to an original XKSS, C types, D Types, various stuff under construction, series one Land Rovers, Land Rover works, 3dr Rangies and 7 XJ220's to name a few. The storage area was equally impressive with an Allegro, Metro, Maestro & Montego   plus loads of other cool things from various manufacturers. Also the CX-75 and RRS from 007 Spectre and a twin turbo 4wd XJS.

Sadly once in the main part of the building you could not take photos. Really enjoyed it and my Dad loved seeing all the old cars. Lot's of nice stuff in the car park too.

Must have been you (6 ft?) I saw walking around the collection with Harry. I tried to keep in ear shot to hear snippets

Which XJS was TT 4WD - the mint red one?

Not me guv but still 6ft and powerfully built (a natural for dominating the stairs  ). I spoke with him briefly by the XKSS's didn't want to take too much of his time.

The XJS TT 4wd was down the bottom end of the storage area next to two XK development mules. It was white with blistered arches.

:) I was lurking there too when he was speaking to people, possibly you.

XJS - Not sure how I missed that, and I only noticed the one XK mule with the weird cladding on the LHS only

I was hoping it was a guided tour of sorts

There were a few JLR guys around but they were always busy so we didn't bother with them. Like you, we just overheard bits and pieces of info.

Should have asked them why the F type rusts like the titanic despite being galvanaised. The guy who undersealed my Defender is fully booked for the next 6 months with F Types. There was an 18 plate one when I was there a few weeks ago which looked worse than a 30 year old tractor in the engine bay and chassis!

Forgot to add that the silver project 8 looked superb. And modern paint on an E Type makes them look even more spectacular.
