It’s renewal time, I’m about to have a conversation with Admiral that results in me throwing my toys. Who else is good ? I think the Porsche and the Aston should be on specialist policies now anyway.

Whatever you do, point out to them that insurance costs
have fallen across the board so expect to see a reduction in your premiums.

Manning UK were best for my Lotus and Golf R but expensive on the cooking 3-Series. They said they specialise in performace.
Renewal on my lotus just came in at £270 from them with Mods declared. down £50 from last year.

Are there no owners forum recommendations that give discounts? Most ones I've seen have negotiated deals with at least one insurer.

I have (or had) both of my cars with A-Plan. Mirrored all my NCB and prices were reasonable on both VW and Lotus...much easier with all policies with one company too.

LVE were cheapest for me with the Megane.

LV were one of the better quotes, but best for me was Direct Line. I got a £45 Amazon gift card in addition to it being cheapest. Worth checking out the Quidco/Topcashback deals too, and doing the Meerkat but then putting your details into the cheaper companies directly. And keep in mind the companies like Aviva and Direct Line who don't appear on the comparison sites.

Definitely give Manning UK a call for the Porsche & Vantage.
UK track days included typically.

Yeah, Manning for low mileage toys - they’re no good for normal cars/usage though.

Our mini is with Swift cover which I have recently had to update online to add my neighbour and eu cover. Website is good and they don't charge a mandatory fee for changes (usually 25. 00 per alt).
On that basis have a look.

Ive got the Golf on a 10k policy with them also covering business use. but yeah they were useless for the BMW.

Phew. Thought I'd been lied to for years for a moment!

Since insurers have been unable to set premiums based on gender, I'm amazed Sheila's Wheels still exists as a trading name.
Still, gender fluidity is where it's at these days. Eh, Scott.

Apparently whilst they can't distinguish by gender, they do note that men and women tend to buy different cars, hence the average for each gender is different.
Anyway, renewed mine today. The quote came through as 417 vs last year's 411. I phoned and tweaked a couple of things (job, mileage) and that pushed it up to 440 something. I pointed out that was a bit ridiculous for a 40 y/o with a clean license, 9+ years no claims on a Mondeo. He got it down to £360, so I signed. Still high but frankly I can't be bothered to shop around that much, especially considering I was pleased how DL handled the claim a couple of years ago.
