The silly name for new McLaren hyper car. However very interested in what it is going to look and go like.

Isn't Speedtail when you mix two different drugs together?

Isn't the Senna barely released? :?

The range is becoming pretty bewildering (to me at least). Why do they need so many different cars?

And 11 out of 10 for the video which shows absolutely nothing.

I think I read somewhere that they plan to always have a new special edition hyper thing in the pipeline, which you would think makes them less special.

I'm starting to get on board with the production McLaren stuff, I could see me having a 570GT if I were to suddenly become wealthy but the cars higher up the range still don't really do anything for me.

I just wish they'd settle on a naming convention. Although I am excited about the possibility of a McLaren Kerplunk Kerplunk Whoops Where's My Thribble LT.

They explained that as well. The special hyper things will have "evocative" names and the production cars will be named after their favourite photocopiers.

I once had to explain to the youngsters here what a speedball is. I thought the yoof would be well up on all this stuff.

And slightly back on topic, I could totally see myself moving on to a 12C after the Vantage. Newer models will remain out of budget I think.

I agree. The extra luggage space would swing it for me as I use my car for holidays too.

I preferred Speedball 2, though.

RIP John Belushi.

Maybe the speedtail is just a Senna with a different body - i.e. one that doesn't make you vomit.

So where does the P1 fit in that then?

Bit disappointed that they are once again using the same V8 for it. Aren’t even their most loyal customers getting tired of buying their 10th McLaren with the same basic engine?!

I'm suprised the production run is only 106 cars. They are building 500 Sennas

I'm guessing it's going to be at least 2-3x the proce of a Senna as well.

Why 106?

According to Shmee it's to match the number of F1s built.

C’mon this is McLaren. There will be 106 road going versions. Then 100 track versions. Which will end up being converted to road spec anyway. Then 100 long tail editions. Then 100 long tail spider editions.

Standard responses.

I have no doubt it will be awesome. If you don't get all frothy crotched over a central driving position, three seat, mental McLaren you're basically dead inside or don't even like cars.
