The result is brilliant. Bloke who's been in there 12 days who nobody would even recognise gets the £50k envelopeNotoriousREV wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 10:36 pm Gregg and Amber?! Ffs. Tommy and Mollie-May were fucking robbed.

Wait, you were serious about watching Love Island?!
Re: Decent Recent TV
Just watched a couple of episodes of this.Beany wrote: ↑Sun Jul 28, 2019 11:39 pm The Boys
I enjoyed this. Violent, pretty well paced, Karl Urban is tons of fun (as are all the cast) and it's generally a good, dark laugh in the same vein as Preacher (same showrunners effectively).
Worth a poke.
7 interestingly placed pieces of C4 out of 10.
Enjoyable.

Are they still doing that thing were the body is stripped and full of rust, there is some mild peril and sad music to indicate they might not make it on time and then the screen fades and out rolls a perfect show winning car ?

I haven't read the book so no expectations but it's bloody absurd to me lol.NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Sun Jul 28, 2019 5:08 pm Has anyone been watching Catch-22? Great cast, really well made but it underplays the absurdity too much and they appear to have changed the story slightly, based on having read the book about 15 years ago. It’s just missing something
It's dark but brilliant
Re: Decent Recent TV
i don’t think they ever did that. There was another show - With some guy calling himself the count that did that every time. Showing literally none of the process whatsoever.
Re: Decent Recent TV
I chuckled at the ending as it was true to character and a nice slap in the face to viewers who expected a happy ending. It was never going to end well, everyone said so throughout both seasons.. to expect otherwise makes you the one with the physiological problem, which I think was part of the plan all along. Empathising with a character that is incapable of feelings..

I actually wasn't that fussed by the second series. It was a great start, but the last couple of episodes really dropped off for me. Some great moments in there still, but I just wasn't really won over by it for some reason. I guess it's always going to be tricky though when, by and large, it's been utterly awesome.Barry wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2019 10:33 am I chuckled at the ending as it was true to character and a nice slap in the face to viewers who expected a happy ending. Given Phoebe Waller-Bridge stepped back from the writing and that they’re no longer basing the story on the original novellas, it was always going to be a bit different. It felt like a long set-up for series 3, to me. I still enjoyed it immensely, but it wasn’t quite as good as S1.

Ugly Delicious
On Netflix. Mostly it is making me hungry. But it is just so relaxing to watch them cook, eat and talk. Not glitzy or styled which I like.

Enjoying The Widower (despite the inclusion of Sheridan Smith in the cast).
Reece Shearsmith plays an excellent slimey mealy-mouthed sack of shit .
