Yes, bought through one of the recommended sellers on Reddit.
How did you find the quality? There’s a few discontinued sets I’d like to try without hunting down an original.
I'm very happy with how it went together, all the pin joints were generally tight to eff-tight. A nice touch was a sperate bag of " gearbox only" pins that were looser running to make it work a bit better.

The odd small 1x1 or 1x2 brick clutch joint was a bit loose but there aren't too many of those in this set.

I did use a craft knife to trim a bit of flashing off the flexible exhaust bits but they were the only components that needed it.

Friend of mine has the UCS Falcon, SSD, Slave 1 and a Green GT3 and has been happy with them all.

I am surprised it took the Chinese this long to start cracking down given how much their economy wants to trade with the west, which will ultimately make the Chinese more powerful.

Hopefully it'll be the usual temporary effort by the Chinesse, can't see me ever tempted by Lego's silly pricing on big sets again.

There's also apparently a new Lepin factory in Malaysia.

Fingers crossed I can still get that White P1 MOC for my next birthday.

Just picked up the new Slave I and Snow Speeder 20th Anniversary sets. Fully intend building them, as with last months sets, but I've decided to move all the toys upstairs so I need to add shelving to the study first. I'll hold off building anything till that's sorted.

You guys should buy a house in need of renovation. It’s just like building Lego - but you end up with a better house!

I’ve got that too Rich. No need to wash my hands after building the Lego though :D

Bought some rare sets in the US, and the Dodge Speed Champions set for about £23; it’s much more in GBP over here.

Bought the Technic supercar 8070 set from the early noughties(?) off eBay - only car-type set from that period and earlier that I don't have. Unopened for £80-odd which I was pleased with.

If it’s from the seller I bought mine from you’re not getting about 25% of the parts

Build has started and ok so far, it's from a random bod I think - bags are all unopened. Doesn't necessarily mean there's nothing missing of course so will see how it goes.

I was going to say you need to clean your keyboard Barry, but looking again it probably needs killing with fire and a new one plugging in.

Works keyboard, I'll have to spill some coffee to get a new one. This one's nicely worn in now too.

The camera has caught that quite well/badly, it doesn't look that bad in the office light to be fair. Now you mention it I think I'll press IT for a new one.. :o

Seeing that keyboard finally makes me see Jobbo’s logic of washing your hands before you touch your penis. You can probably get herpes off that thing! Use a fucking wet wipe every so often on it ffs.

There are no wet wipes in the office and I'm not about to waste my time buying cleaning guff for equipment I don't own. I'll request a new keyboard tomorrow just to keep you nancies happy.
