Re: Lego
One Week To Chiron. That's my Boxing Day sorted. And probably most of the rest of the week, too.
Re: Lego
Well after, putting it off long enough I attacked my definitely uncompletable Lepin GT3 in order to catalouge the bits I need. Spent I think about six hours today to finish intructions 550->850.
Ended up like this.
So I think will be pretty damn awesome if I'm able to get all the bits necessary. Like the the wheel arches, the bonnet, the roof, the black door panels and all the flexible axles that make up the windows.
The row of bits underneath is the spares because clearly the Lepin QC( )dept are on crack.

Don't know if anyone else bought this set as soon as it was available? https://brickset.com/article/41211/revi ... pace-squad
So nostalgic and pretty good value even at the RRP of £8.99 since it includes four minifigs.

I still have most of that from when I was a kid! It was all grey though.Jobbo wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 9:43 am Don't know if anyone else bought this set as soon as it was available? https://brickset.com/article/41211/revi ... pace-squad

Re: Lego
There are a couple of other reasons I'm not going to bother with the RSR:
- it's really a display model; there's limited functionality which is a bit of a shame in a Technic set
- it relies heavily on stickers, and I really hate stickers.
Does look nice, other than the wheels; I wonder if alternative wheels could be fitted? The GT3 ones are likely to be too big since the wheelarch pieces are smaller on the RSR.

I'm really not impressed with some angles on that RSR, doubt I'll bother.
I've ordered these this month, just for desk ornaments:

Re: Lego
I want those, and the F40 and Minis. But the Minis in particular seem really pricey. I haven't really liked Speed Champion sets in previous years (other than a couple: the green 930 Turbo last year was great) but Lego have improved them quite a lot from the first generation and they're rather good now.
Re: Lego
I'm sure I've seen a mod of the green 911 which reduced the front overhang slightly, but I can't find it now. What I do want to do is fit the Challenger's front wheeltrims to the 911's wheels to see how Fuchs-y they look. They'd have the grey rim visible and black spokes, so hopefully would look like this:
ETA: someone has done the wheels thing and it looks great:

Re: Lego
That fiesta is horrendous. I'm assuming it's a fiesta because it's a rally car and has a Ford sticker and that's what they use at the moment. Without that I'd have no idea
The yank tanks are pretty cool though, and love the 911

Lego AE86, I thought it was pretty good. Ideas site seems to show it's been on there a while.
