I’d have had to wait for the owner to return and start that up just to have a listen

They look really cool these days.

I’m sure they were £10-15k at one point.

Yeah they were dirt cheap about 10/15 years ago. Still not bad for a Columbo V12 engined car tbh.

Yeah, they were definitely less than £20k for a while weren't they.

Just seen, this actual one is on AT at the moment, needing some interior work for £49k.

The real bargains were always the auto ones as the GM sourced gearbox, while being very reliable isn't remotely suited to a high revving V12. Probably still some bargains to be had there if you can put up with the box or can spend another £10k or so on converting it.

My Dad had a real hankering for one, and some time in the late nineties got extremely close to buying one. Must have been well under £20k for it to be a possibility back then.

They were definitely around £10k at one point along with 308gt4s. Around the same time an Alfa Montreal was £15k and espadas under 20 :(

This NSX on the M54

Although it was rocking different gloss-black alloys with Mik-spec white lettering on the tyres - they seemed to be the wrong offset, making the car look like was on tip-toes. The later NSX's looked much better than the early ones, IMO, but they still look great....still love pop-up lights.

Saw two today. One at a show, was an auto he had owned since 2006, probably about when they were at their low point. Looked basically perfect, said it was very reliable and easy to maintain. Shame it was auto.

Then one the way home saw a gold one on the a14.

Decent boot

Can’t help thinking they’d look a bit better if they’d shortened that boot and hence the rear overhang by an inch or two…

Needs interior work and there are no pictures of the interior? It'll look like the aftermath of a knife fight in a swamp, won't it?

Red BMW Z1 in York, possibly the first one I've seen on the road. Also an MG Montego in showroom condition on its way back from a classic car show. Made me feel old.

Saw a P1 on the road today for the first time, looked incredible, pictures don't do it justice.

:D Touché. I'm always happy to see an Impreza P1 of course, however this was the McLaren variety.

@duncs500 I think they nailed the visuals on the P1 - particularly when you see it beside the Senna….

(Edit: and I just went looking for an image of the two side by side and got distracted by some performance figures - P1 does 0-150mph in 10.6seconds…. Which is about 0.4seconds slower than the Evora gets to 100  )
