So Boris should adopt the Norway model and increase tax?
that’s one half of the model...

In Norway it’s about £250 a month per child, that’s a 10 hour day for some as well. Plus the facilities they have are fantastic.

In Norway I can get a 1% or so tax deduction if I have a mortgage, other titbits if I have children etc. That seems like a fair system but it’s world renowned for being hellishly complex as well.

Dave!
Scandinavia is better! And Norway can afford generosity, what with them sitting on the world's largest sovereign wealth fund.
And where does that sovereign wealth derive from?

So the answer is basically that we should get the frack on with a shale gas industry! Then we'll be rolling in ££££
lets get a time machine and rather than subsidising the mines and BL we should have invested the money ;)

This is only going to get interesting when it goes to the membership. BoJo has got the MPs whipped, but I know some staunch Tories who are fed up with him.

Demonic Raab went out much earlier than I expected.

Why do the Tories have such a drawn out voting process? Can’t they just use a transferable vote system and preference voting like Labour? Done and dusted in a single vote. At this rate we’ll have left the Federation of Planets with No Deal before we have a new PM.

If Rory makes it through to the whole party vote I can see him knocking Boris out.

However I think it’ll be between Gove and Cunt for second place, most likely the Hunt of the two.

I doubt that very much. Polling of members had him as losing to any of the other candidates he could be up against and 75/25 to Boris

We will be down to the last two in less than 48 hours. Then the real lying begins! 😉

Everyone seems to be saying BoJo doesn’t yet have half the vote, so the race is still open. However, he does have exactly the same number of votes as the three others combined!

ETA - Stewart’s response is quite honest for a politician “[MPs] clearly decided they’re going to back a winner”.. Well, yes :?

There's nothing more Tory than this voting system where, it's rumoured at least, that BoJo loaned votes to Rory to get Raab out, and now he'll lend them to Javid to damage Gove and Hunt. They can't just have a simple vote, it has to be crooked and self-serving
