More failure, and it's aggravated by hayfever coughing & sneezing.
I await a bout of gout next for added Dad's Army / 'allo 'allo* effect
* Did STV do a version called Alloa Alloa ?

Had that a couple of years ago. Moving my arm around was "crunchy". Doc suggested an op mightbe needed, but it cleared up itself after 4-5 months.
Have also tried gout.
Didn like either,

Gout seems to be surprisingly common on this forum. I know at least 5 people here who have had it.

Those of you who’ve had gout in the past - how did you control it, or are you just on allopurinol for ever like me?

I can't remember what the doctor prescribed - anti inflammatories? - but getting on it as soon as I noticed any hint of an attack prevented it from becoming a crippling pain. I'm not on anything continuously.

Diclofenac is the anti-inflammatory regularly prescribed to alleviate symptoms; watch out for it coming on again because if you are prone to it, it becomes a hell of a lot easier to control with allopurinol. Good luck with it

I had cherry juice suggested to me after being immobile for two weeks with a big toe like a prize winning beetroot. Although I don't get gout on a regular basis I have a large glass of cherry juice each day and it's been over two years since I last had any trouble.
