Randomness
Re: Randomness
I am feeling like a pretty bad person for sniggering when it occurred to me that - if RainMan ever made a YouTube tool review….
Re: Randomness
I’ve watched his reviews before - very detailed so actually quite useful. He does sound like The Onion’s Michael Falk though.
Re: Randomness
Made me laugh. Incorrect location
Re: Randomness
Anyone else see the irony of a news anchor travelling from America with a bunch of camera crew and gear to film a report about an environmental meeting regarding cutting emissions. They might as well have just stayed in their regular offices and used a green screen considering his location...
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Randomness
The whole thing is the biggest joke Ive seen recently - hopefully they all eff off and get replaced with people with common sense.Mito Man wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 12:36 pm Anyone else see the irony of a news anchor travelling from America with a bunch of camera crew and gear to film a report about an environmental meeting regarding cutting emissions. Re: Randomness
They really ought to use the motto “do as I say not as I do” for the whole event.

Re: Randomness
Couldn't give a flying F how they get there as long as they sort this shit out.
Re: Randomness
Lots of politicians on about pollution charges, taxes, carbon pricing. A full on ban by an agreed date would be easier but there’s no money to be made that way. It’s all bollocks.

Re: Randomness
Ban what though? Carbon credits make sense to me and are probably a good start seeing as how vehemently big carbon companies are against them.
Re: Randomness
Carbon credits just result in big companies making minimal efforts to change. The charges end up getting passed on to the end user. This is basically what has happened in the car market over the last few years with many manufacturers making a piss poor effort and just adding a few grand to the price of each car, then buying the carbon credits off Tesla.

Re: Randomness
I'm more referencing the Aussie carbon credit scheme of the early noughties which the coal industry invested huge amounts into the conservative parties to remove.
But it's a start on integrating the true cost of air pollution into the economy as far as I'm concerned.

Re: Randomness
From my earlier post it seems Biden is actually staying in Edinburgh so that will be travelling twice a day for weeks
