I fully expect they'll be worth £5k in about 6 years time.

In completely standard specification Litchfield's A110 developed 256hp and a peak of 258lb ft of torque on the dyno, which is 4hp and a useful 22lb ft more than Alpine claims. 'The standard boost pressure is around 1.1 bar,' says Iain, 'and we increase that to 1.35 bar, going up to 1.45 a bit later in the mid-range, before tailing off again. That gives us 304hp at 6295rpm and 298lb ft at 3450rpm. We did have it up to 330lb ft in testing, but that made the car close to undriveable
Better.

A remapped Renault with rwd - sounds good, let me know when they get to £10k

Now with more powers, officially

A110S revealed

Be interesting to see reviews if it's more "track focussed". Seems like they've upped the stiffness of the chassis, so I wonder if it will lose some of the love from the journos.

No more torque though, and 0.1s quicker from 0-60. For £10k or so more. Errr... give me a Pure please.

Which makes me suspect the 'box is already close to its max torque handling capacity? :?

And these changes are all at the top end.

Looking at the numbers.....

Std car makes 236lbs ft. Which starts to tail off around 5300rpm (edit - official figures confirm it starts to tail off at 5krpm) and has to have dropped to 210lbs.ft by the time it is hitting max power at 6000rpm.

This one makes 236lbs.ft but holds it all the way to 6400rpm. So gains are marginal and really only felt in the upper 1000-odd rpm (edit 1400-odd rpm).

I dont know what the rev limit is for either.

Any reviews of one on the smaller wheels anywhere?

Yep, I think Alpine themselves have confirmed this.

Ah. Which means its not going to get much crazier than this. Shame.

Annoyingly, the Pure press car has the 18" wheels fitted so no, I've not seen one. I had to google for pictures just to find out what the 17"s even look like.

If you want to track it (presumably who this pack is aimed at?) you’d be better off getting the normal one with a map and some springs of your choice. Plus enough money left over for lots of tyres and brakes. But then you’d probably end up like the livedlifeonfinance cunt so maybe not
They should call it the Alpine Underwhelming- as that’s all it’s ever been from the start.

Litchfield’s remap takes it to 298lb/ft with warranty.

I think I'd be sticking to the Pure model as well, when I get one obvs, whilst considering the Litchfield upgrades if I felt them necessary.

I know it’s not fair to compare prices with old cars, but for a little bit more one can get a GT3, R8 V10, Vantage V12, Ferrari 360 etc etc. :?

I know where my money would go.

Having said that. Love the new colour options. 8-)

I always thought a 987 Boxster Spyder would compliment my 996 GT3 perfectly, but the A110 and the new Morgan PlusFour are making strong case.

Fifth column, second from bottom for me.
