Hivemind assemble! OAP version

My parents want to get a new car as their EQA's boot is too small. Basically my father needs a mobility scooter or electric wheelchair to fit and the KIA PV5 WAV sounds ideal but keeps getting delayed and they are impatient! Dragging my mum out of a Mercedes is proving an issue, I did look at the EQB and GLB (Elec) (any idea why there are two different models for what looks like the same car?) and the boot is bigger but still a significantly high boot level for my mum to lift the wheelchair up and no chance for a mobility scooter! Audi - A6 Avant e-tron is a possible good fit, but Q4 e-tron is cheaper, bigger boot and "smaller"*, but they are not sure about Audis - I don't know why  . BMW - iX3 maybe? i5 Touring is too expensive and sporty (and "too big"*). They've asked about Chinese manufacturers and tbh I don't know much about them - any info appreciated.

TL;DR - recommend an electric car with good sized boot for my parents... thank you

*in my mother's opinion

Kia EV5 similar size to the Q4 but with a bigger squarer boot and opening. Also has a 3 pin plug in boot to charge scooter which is handy.

Lovely looking things as well.

My dad has a Mini Countryman on order - it's replacing both his Fiesta and his Discovery Sport in one. They do an electric version and if buying new, the prices are surprisingly sane in today's overpriced world.

EQB is the electric version of the old GLB. Now they've the new GLB model the EQB branding has died and it's now just the GLB electric. Same for the C class electric, upcoming E class electric etc. The 'EQ' brand was transitional and is going away.

For what it is, I really rate mine. Put one of those dangley freshers in or get someone to fart in it.
